August – October

AUGUST

Friday, August 6 – Walk the mall at Northpark before the stores open (and in the air conditioner!) Meet at 8:30am in the Food Court.

Thursday, August 12- Buy fresh veggies, eat a snack/lunch at the Farmer’s Market downtown. Meet at 10:00am.

FYI Saturday, August 14- Bright Lights, Belhaven Nights festival 5:30-9:30pm. Children’s activities, art, music, food. $1 under 13 yrs. $4 13 and older.

Tuesday, August 17- Back to School Party at Stacy Bradley’s house. 3:00- 5:00pm.

Wednesday, August 25- Renaissance Water Fountains and dinner at Sweet Peppers. Meet at the fountains at 4:00pm or just meet for dinner at 5:30pm.

SEPTEMBER

Thursday, September 2- Mother Goose Lapsit (storytime) at the Flowood Library on Old Fannin Road. 3:30 – 4:30pm

Friday, September 10- Trolley ride with Captain Ron and lunch in Fondren area. Meet at the old Auditorium restaurant parking lot on Duling St. at 12:00pm. Ride lasts 30 minutes then we’ll stop for lunch along the route.

Tuesday, September 14- Walk the Natchez Trace. 8:00am.

FYI September 17-19 – RBBB Circus at the Coliseum. 7pm Fri., 2 and 6 on Sat., 2 and 6 on Sun. VIP tickets $47, mid-range $28.37 and gen. admission $16.19. Call 601-353-0603 for information.

Thursday, September 23- Flowood Fire Station tour and picnic at Winner’s Circle Park. Time TBA.

OCTOBER

Friday, October 1- Play and picnic at Natural Science Museum’s huge outdoor playground. Admission is $3 into the park.

Friday, October 8- Play and lunch at the Miss. State Fairgrounds! Corndogs and cinnamon rolls – yes!! Meet at 10am.

Thursday, October 14- JUST FOR MOMS! Get a babysitter and have a blast at the Canton Flea Market (more good fair type food here!). Shopping galore! PS. You can bring babies if you want to, but it would be so much easier without. I tried to take a stroller once and about killed myself!

Wednesday, October 20- Petrified Forest. Meet at 9am.

Week of Friday October 29- Fall Festival Party TBA.
